DeLorean Advokat’s founder and attorney Pontus Sörlin spoke at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) Public Sector Information Security Conference, held September 17-18, 2019 in Stockholm.
Pontus talked about cloud services and public procurement and aspects of what issues need to be highlighted when procuring these types of services. The core issues regarding the disclosure of classified information according to the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act were dealt with in particular, together with Esam’s and SKL’s positions in relation to the Clarifying Lawful Overseas Use of Data Act (CLOUD ACT).
Both an attorney and political scientist with extensive experience in advising corporations, authorities and municipal companies on procurement of IT services, Pontus provided practical advice on how procurement in these areas can be handled.
The theme of this year’s conference was “integrated information security work – within the organization and in society”. The conference gave examples of how information security work can be integrated throughout the business, with other speakers such as computer and IT security experts Mikko Hypönnen and Ann-Marie Eklund Löwinder.
The conference was organized by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, the Swedish Post and Telecom Authority, the National Defence Radio Establishment, the Swedish Security Service, the Swedish Police Authority, The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration / the Swedish Certification Board for IT-security, the Swedish Armed Forces / the Swedish Intelligence and Security Service.
The conference was opened by MSB Director General Dan Eliasson and Minister of the Interior Mikael Damberg.
